Dr. Gharagozloo is the daughter and granddaughter of dentists. Because of this, even before deciding to become a cosmetic dentist in McLean, she knew she wanted to work in the medical field. She became a Registered Nurse (RN) and worked for five years as a Pediatric ICU Nurse. Then, Dr. G obtained her graduate degree from St. Louis University and became a Physician Assistant (PA). She worked as a PA for ten years, in Cardiothoracic and Plastic Surgery, at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. During that time, she co-authored several articles that were published in medical journals.
In the 90’s the field of dentistry was transformed with the introduction of aesthetics and reconstructive surgery. Through her work in plastic surgery, Dr. Gharagozloo saw how life-changing dentistry could be. She wanted to become an integral part of it by becoming a successful cosmetic dentist for McLean, Arlington and Great Falls. She received her DDS from the University of Maryland in 2000. She has continued her postgraduate education at such prestigious institutions as the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, The Hornbrook Group, The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the Nashville Center for Aesthetic Dentistry and in 2010 she graduated from the renowned Kois Center in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Gharagozloo's training at the Nashville Center for Aesthetic Dentistry, the Kois Center and the Seattle Study Club are in line with her philosophy of dentistry. On a yearly basis, Dr. G attends week-long symposiums for continuing her dental education.
